At ING, I worked on the derivatives desk, within a sales and structuring role. My role involved preparing comprehensive pitchbooks to support derivative transactions, articulating complex transaction flows. I contributed to the execution of strategic equity transaction deals, pricing interest rate, cross currency, and total return swaps, while incorporating pre-deal economic adjustments to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.

At Natixis Investment Managers, I served as a full time Product Analyst for the US Distribution team within the Investment Product Management division. My primary role was supporting clients and sales by managing product reporting, statistics, and data for mutual funds, while gaining exposure to various investment strategies across Equity, Derivatives, Fixed Income, and Multi-Asset funds.

Trade Management Intern, Risk, Control & Analytics

At Brown Brothers Harriman, I worked as a Risk, Control, Analytics Co-op on the Trade Management team. My role focused on applying business analytics and process improvement strategies to help achieve departmental goals in alignment with the firm’s strategic objectives.
I was responsible for monitoring global trade, economics, and market updates, escalating key information to senior management as needed. I regularly prepared comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly reports to summarize KPIs and statistics, and I actively monitored trade and cash flows for any discrepancies. Arrowstreet Capital, a quantitative investment management firm, was my first foray into the “buy side”. I worked as a Trade Compliance Intern Associate, where I gained in-depth exposure to the technical aspects of investment management, risk management, and active portfolio management in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
My responsibilities included conducting detailed examinations of restricted lists for client portfolios, performing pre-trade session checks (144A & Bloomberg manual security checks), and reconciling trades with corporate and client portfolio governance restrictions. I also monitored account overdrafts caused by trade movements and cash flow changes, ensuring compliance with internal and external mandates.

China Bank Capital was my first work experience. I worked as an Investment Banking Summer Intern, gaining exposure to a wide range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, structured credit, debt securities advisory, and fundraising activities across capital markets within the Philippines.
During my internship, I conducted detailed research on over five target acquisition companies, preparing corporate summaries, financial models, and valuations. I spread historical financial statements, analyzed debt maturity profiles, and developed financial projections to support transaction decisions.
